Credo Nonfiction seeks a kind and collaborative, detail-devouring, master of logistics who believes storytelling has the power to spark immense positive change. Our team is ready for an empathic media-making professional who can lead internal and external teams in moving film, video and audio stories from idea to screen, while gently and effectively guiding our brand and network partners through the process. This person will help manage our projects, creatives and crew, which staffs up quickly for projects from a close-knit network of production freelancers on a project-by-project basis. And 2022 is coming in hot!

Duties

Produce/project manage complex visual and audio storytelling projects, from 60-second social media videos, to feature-length documentaries, to serial podcasts.

Communicate clearly, kindly and effectively with network and brand clients regarding project budgets, scope, timelines, and delivery milestones.

Work directly with our nonfiction “talent” (a.k.a. real people with very little or no screen experience) to put them at ease with the production process and help orchestrate the scenarios that will help bring their story to the screen in a dynamic and authentic way.

Manage multiple creative collaborators, including booking directors from our roster and production crew from our core Mpls.-based network as well as local crew wherever we travel to tell the story.

Ensure no detail is overlooked on every production including travel logistics, release forms, special insurance, cue sheets, etc. – all the small but important details that can make or break a project.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3-10 years of experience in video production on the production company or agency side.

  • Experience working specifically in documentary storytelling and a love for all things food, wellness, and outdoor living, which are key focus areas.

Experience with directing, cinematography, and editing is a plus, but not required.

    Type of Position

This is a full-time salaried position, or we are also open to contract the position in six-month increments. Pre- and post-production work can be done remotely so we are open to candidates located anywhere in the continental U.S., but candidate must be willing to travel for production, as much as up to twice per month.
